SIGHT — the Service of Information, Guidance and Hospitality to Travelers
One of the most enjoyable benefits of Mensa membership is the ability to take advantage of the SIGHT Program by clicking here Whether you take part as a host or as a guest, contacts with interesting individuals is assured.
As SIGHT coordinator, it is my responsibility to help bring Mensa members together, welcome travelers to our local group and introduce them to local hosts.
To that end I am searching for hosts in CIM. While SIGHT is often thought of as a Mensa-specific Couch-Surfing, it is actually more than that. A host may not even offer a place to sleep (although many do), but rather a tour of the area, information on getting around, the best sights, the favorite eating spots, an impromptu Mensa meeting either at home or in a public space. In short, the SIGHT host is the native guide, the one in the know, who share their knowledge and help our Mensa visitors get the most out of Central Indiana during their stay.
It is my duty to compile a list of possible CIM hosts for all these fun things, so that I may properly match the Mensans by habits and interest. If you are interested in meeting new people, please fill out the form by clicking here.
I also can get you started on a trip to meet other Mensans in other parts of the USA, and even in other parts of the world (I was previously SIGHT coordinator for Mensa Austria).
Not surprisingly, there is also a form for being a guest. For travel in the USA the form can be found by clicking here.
There is an international Guest Form, which I will happily send you on request.
Looking forward to hearing from many CIMensa friends in the near future,
Alison Brown, SIGHT@Indymensa.org. or 317-846 6798.
